History
A legacy of vocational excellence expanding from northern Sumatra into global academic consortia.
Established to accelerate PNL’s internationalization, the International Office (Kantor Urusan Internasional) serves as the primary gateway connecting Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe with international universities, research bodies, embassies, and industrial partners. Over the years, KUI PNL has established active collaborations with institutions in Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and several European consortia.
Originating as the Polytechnic of Syiah Kuala University in 1987, Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe (PNL) has emerged as one of Indonesia’s premier public polytechnics. The International Office was strategically established to drive global academic alliances, facilitate overseas student mobility, support international curriculum alignment, and coordinate faculty research fellowships.
